About

This weblog is run by the Informatics Centre, University of Chester as part of a local NHS sponsored project to see how social media might improve patient interaction. The weblog was originally set up to support a small group of volunteer PPG members based in Wirral with the aim of providing a forum for members to share their ideas about the use of social media. Three of these PPGs have now set up their own weblogs and facebook pages. We would now like to share our progress with other PPGs. To see what they are doing, go the
Active PPGs page. The Support page gives some useful information and links about patient participation and NHS organisations. The Help page is under development and will give advice to PPGs to set up social media tools.
This site is public ie anyone with the blog address can see it and can add comments to posts. The Centre will moderate this weblog and delete any inappropriate comments.
Adam Hughes is the Informatics Centre manager and also manager for this project. Paul Bujac does most of the work.
